Château Cassagne Haut-Canon is a former hunting lodge of the 18th-century Maréchal Duc de Richelieu, Louis-François Armand du Plessis.
The property was purchased in 1956 by Jean-Jacques Dubois’ father, Charles, when it comprised just 3 hectares of vines. Since then, the vineyard has been restructured to make the most of each individual vine, based on the estate’s extraordinary geological assets.
All in one piece, it enjoys a veritable mosaic of subsoils, made up of Fronsadais molasse and a limestone plateau where truffle oaks grow.
Situated on one of Fronsac’s highest points, like a peninsula, the hillside vines benefit from one of the best exposures in the appellation.
A true symbol of the estate, the La Truffière cru owes its name to this unique environment.
All these assets contribute to giving the wine its distinctive signature: a complex structure of great finesse, between power and elegance. A great wine with character.
The Chapiteau
The 160m² marquee, its 30m² terrace and its equipment will enable you to comfortably welcome your guests in the property’s century-old park.
